Kinyarwanda, spoken by at least 12 million people in Rwanda, the Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, and adjacent regions in southern Uganda, where it is known as Rufumbira, is the official language of Rwanda and of the Rwanda-Rundi dialect.
