Sindhi language, origin and dialects spoken over the world.
Origin and History
Sindhi, spoken by the Sindhi people, belongs to the Northwestern Indo-Aryan language group of the historical Sindh region in the western part of the Indian subcontinent. It is the official language of the Sindh Province of Pakistan. Sindhi is one of the officially recognised planned languages of the central government in India, although Sindhi is not an official language of any of the states in India.
Siroli, Vicholi, Lari, Lasi, Kathiawari Kachhi, Thari or Thareli, Macharia, Dukslinu, and Muslim Sindhi are among the Sindhi dialects. In northern Sindh, the "Siroli or Siraiki" dialect is distinct from South Punjab's Saraiki language and has been treated as either a dialect of it or as a Sindhi dialect in different ways. The Sindhi dialects previously referred to as "Siraiki" are more commonly referred to as "Siroli" today.
Approximately 24 million people speak Sindhi, and the Philippines, Qatar, Canada, the United States, Singapore and the United Kingdom have a smaller number of speakers in at least 9 territories.
